The 2025 Subaru Forester S6 MY26 Hybrid Sport Wagon features a new strong hybrid powertrain, a high level of advanced safety technology (EyeSight® Driver Assist), a bold new design with unique bronze accents, and a refined interior.

Performance and Mechanical Features
Strong Hybrid Powertrain: A new system, sourced in part from Toyota, pairs a 2.5-litre horizontally-opposed e-Boxer 4-cylinder petrol engine with a high-output 90kW electric motor and a 1.1 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Combined Output: The system produces a combined output of 145kW. The petrol engine alone provides 121kW and 212Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 90kW and 276Nm.
Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD): The Forester maintains its signature mechanically linked, permanent AWD system, which ensures superior traction and stability across various conditions.
Transmission: It uses a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with an 8-speed manual mode and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters (referred to as "Sports Regeneration Paddles" in the hybrid).
Fuel Efficiency: Official combined fuel consumption is rated at 6.2L/100km. The hybrid system allows for a claimed range of over 1000km on a single tank and runs on 91 RON regular unleaded petrol.
Off-Road Capability: A generous 220mm ground clearance and dual-mode X-Mode (for Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud) enhance its off-road performance, along with Hill Descent Control.
Towing Capacity: The maximum braked towing capacity is 1,200kg
